Hanukkah Is Just Around The Corner

Hanukkah is just a little over a week away, its just around the corner. We like to decorate some for the holidays. So here are some really great ideas:

On some large glass sliding doors or even on regular windows you can use window markers, draw out menorahs, You can even take a favorite Hanukkah song and write out the words on one of the windows, write Hanukkah greetings out, There are probably a lot more things you can do with window markers when decorating for Hanukkah, but I was only listing a few.

Take pine cones and dip them in white and blue wax, set them in a wooden bowl and a drop or so of peppermint essential oil, or any other essential oil that you like the smell of just be careful how much you use. You can also dip them in wax and place them in different places around the house.

Make paper dreidels and hang them about the house or set them on window sills or were ever you want.

Use white, blue, and silver ribbon and string next to paper dreidels.

You know those bead necklaces that are so cheap and they are really not even real beads, they are colored. Getting them in blue and silver might not be a bad idea. You can string them on to the wall they will look so nice.

Around the base of the menorah you could even wrap some ribbon or even place paper dreidels.

If you want latkes this year but don't know what recipe to use you could use the Maccabeats latke recipe:
You could also look on line or talk to friends and find out what are some good latke recipes to use.

Some really good Hanukkah music to listen to would also be the Maccabeats.

I hope everyone has a great time getting ready for Hanukkah.

Shalom.
