So many people try copying other people rather than being themselves. They don't realize that each person is different, no one is the same. Some of us walk the same path, but that doesn't make us the same, we are different. We need to be ourselves. Each and every person is unique, to be unique you don't have to be the same as someone else, to be unique you have to be you, you have to be yourself. I've had people tell me they don't want me doing this or that or that they don't like it when I am being myself, they didn't want me to be Esther, they wanted me to be someone else. I almost let them win, but one of my older sisters said "Esther, G-d won't ask you why you were not more like this or that person, instead He is going to ask you, Why weren't you more like Esther?" I love doing embroidery, sewing etc... I believe these kind of things are worthwhile and the skill can come in handy and is good to learn. Last blog post I said that I am going to embroider a quilt top but at the time didn't know what theme I was going to use. I am planning on doing a quilt square with a design, something that has to do with a nation that I am from, I am part Dutch so one quilt square will have a Dutch theme, such as a windmill or wooden shoes, you get the idea. I am hoping to be able to design what ever design I use, however I would love to have some ideas for the different nations.
